WELCOME TO OUR SITE

Conception Lodge No. 8346 EC is one of three Craft Lodges in Grenada. Constituted in 1971,by a Charter from the United Grand Lodge of England, members meet every third Friday of the month at the Masonic Temple at Mt.Zion Lucas Street. The Installation of the new master is conducted in May of each year.

Despite being the smallest lodge in the district, Conception has always played an active role in the district, with several past masters having served or are currently serving as officers. In fact, our first Master, Wor. Bro D.G Otway, has been Deputy District Grand Master from 1996 to 2006. Conception Lodge also hosted a very successful 300th Communication of the District of Barbados & The Eastern Caribbean on October 22nd 2005 and again .

Birth of a Lodge

The idea of forming a Lodge working Emulation ritual was first discussed among PMs of Lodge St.George 3072 at a festive board. The principal proponents were Wor. Bros E.De Vere Archer, George Otway and Basil Byer.

They were able to convince other PMs and the brethren of Lodge St.George in general, and Conception Lodge 8346 was constituted and consecreted on February 18th 1971.
